Zero Server Image Storage

Photos uploaded to Image-to-Palette are parsed 100% locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

✓

No Accounts or Profiles

No signups, passwords, email harvesting, or user fingerprinting. Saved palettes live in your device's browser memory.

✓

No Ad Trackers or Data Sales

We never sell, rent, or trade your design history, palette data, or session metadata to third-party ad brokers.

1. Overview and Scope

At HueCanva (huecanva.com), we firmly believe that creative utility tools should respect user privacy by design. This Privacy Policy governs your use of our website, color palette generators, gradient tools, contrast checkers, and developer export utilities.

Because HueCanva is architected as an edge-delivered, client-side application, the majority of your interactions happen strictly inside your client browser environment without server mediation.

2. Client-Side Image Extraction & Processing

When you utilize the Image to Palette generator:

  • Your graphic file is loaded into the browser memory using the standard HTML5 FileReader and <canvas> API.
  • Color quantization and swatch extraction are computed locally using JavaScript algorithms on your device CPU/GPU.
  • The image file is never uploaded, stored, mirrored, or transmitted to any external web server, Cloudflare Worker storage bucket, or third-party computer vision API.

3. Local-First Storage Architecture

HueCanva employs browser-native web storage technologies (localStorage and IndexedDB) to preserve your preferences and projects across browser sessions:

  • Theme Preference: Stored under the key huecanva_theme ('dark' or 'light').
  • Saved Palettes: Your bookmarked color sets and custom collections are saved in local storage on your client device.
  • Generation History: Recent palettes generated during your active session are cached locally for undo/redo convenience.

This data remains exclusively on your hardware. You can wipe all stored data at any moment through your browser's application storage settings.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike conventional platforms, HueCanva does not solicit, collect, or process:

  • User registration credentials (passwords, usernames, phone numbers).
  • Payment or billing details (HueCanva's core generation suite is free).
  • Biometric data, private photographs, or personal artwork.
  • Cross-site tracking identifiers or behavioral profiling pixels.

5. Minimal Anonymous Edge Telemetry

When your browser requests assets from HueCanva, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers) automatically processes standard HTTP request headers. This technical metadata may include:

  • Rough geographic region (country/city level for optimal CDN edge routing).
  • Browser type and operating system version (to ensure CSS/OKLCH compatibility).
  • Aggregate latency and HTTP response status codes.

This information is aggregated, strictly anonymized, and used solely to detect malicious distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and optimize delivery performance.

6. External Content Delivery Networks & Fonts

To maintain crisp typography and fast page loads, HueCanva connects to Google Fonts for the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google may collect IP addresses and requests according to the Google Fonts Privacy Policy. We do not load third-party ad networks, social widgets, or invasive trackers.

7. User Rights under GDPR and CCPA / CPRA

Under international privacy frameworks including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK Data Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Right to Access & Portability: You can export your saved palettes in JSON, CSV, or CSS formats at any time via the export modal.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Because data is stored in your own browser's LocalStorage, clearing your browser site data immediately erases all stored palettes.
  • Non-Discrimination: We provide full access to all features without requiring submission of personal identifying information.

8. Children's Privacy

HueCanva is intended for general audiences and creative professionals. We do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 in accordance with COPPA regulations.

9. Modifications to this Policy

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements or statutory requirements. Any revisions will be published on this page accompanied by an updated effective date.
